Always look at the quality of their work; if their rates are especially low, the quality won’t be delivered.
Here is a list of important red flags to consider:
- Extremely low prices that seem too good to be true (often leads to poor quality, hidden fees, or rushed work).
- No proof of insurance — always ask to see documentation.
- No background checks on cleaners, or they are unwilling to discuss their hiring process.
- Poor or slow communication — delayed replies, hard to reach, or vague answers.
- No clear contract or cleaning checklist — everything should be in writing with defined services and expectations.
- Lack of references or recent reviews — legitimate companies happily provide them.
- They don’t ask questions about your home, pets, allergies, or special instructions.
We do not. We are not housekeepers; they provide part of the daily household duties and often live-in or are full-time/part-time daily help. This would includes laundry (washing, folding, and putting away), grocery shopping, meal preparation, and dishwashing.
